02. Seasonal Notes
October · An autumn reflection
A Season of Release
On change, softer beginnings, and the wisdom of autumn.
There is a different kind of beauty in autumn. The days grow shorter, the air begins to cool, and the natural world slowly releases what it can no longer carry.
We often speak of growth as something that asks us to become more — more accomplished, more certain, more capable of holding everything together. But the earth offers another lesson. Sometimes growth looks like letting go.
This season, consider what you have been holding onto out of habit rather than love. Perhaps it is an expectation you have placed on yourself, a routine that no longer serves you, or the belief that rest must be earned.
You do not need to transform your entire life with the changing leaves. Begin with something small. Leave an evening unscheduled. Take your skincare slowly. Step outside and notice the shift in the air. Let a quiet moment be enough without asking it to become something more.
Autumn is not asking you to disappear. It is reminding you that change can be gentle, that endings can make room for beginnings, and that there is value in tending to what remains.
A reflection for the week
What am I ready to release, and what deserves more of my care?
Carry the question with you. Let the answer arrive in its own time.
