01. The Weekly Ritual
Week of October 5–11 · A practice for returning to yourself
The Art of Letting Go
Release what is heavy. Make room for what nourishes you.
Autumn reminds us that letting go is not a failure to hold on. It is part of the natural rhythm of growth. This week, give yourself permission to set something down… a lingering expectation, an old frustration, or the pressure to have everything figured out.
The practice
-
Prepare your space. Set aside five to ten minutes. Dim the lights, silence your phone, and create a little room to breathe.
-
Return to your body. Take a warm shower or bath. Gently exfoliate with your favorite body scrub, then cleanse and rinse away the day.
-
Nourish your skin. Massage body oil into slightly damp skin, moving slowly and paying attention to the places where you carry tension.
-
Name what you are releasing. Ask yourself: What am I carrying that I no longer need to carry? You do not need to solve it tonight. Simply acknowledge it.
-
Choose what comes with you. Take three slow breaths and name one thing you want to make more room for this season — rest, honesty, connection, or peace.
A closing thought
You are allowed to change. You are allowed to outgrow things. You do not have to carry yesterday into every tomorrow.
